Poetry

Haiku:

Sweat Peas

Wonder where I go,

From here onwards, perhaps to

Where the flowers bloom.

Tanka:

A Couple of Doves

A bond was long forged

Before the released white wings

Fluttered and took flight

Amongst the streaks of red

Like the hue on smiley cheek

Cinquain:

Enchanting

In awe,

I watched as she

Strung together lilted chords

Gentle tunes a savory pure

Dulcet.

Limerick:

Old Timer

The old man asked, “Where is my wife?”

I cringed then reached for the butter knife.

“In the sky,” I lied.

He fluttered about with a cry.

I sighed, “I’m right here you old low-life”.
